Day Shift starring Jaime Foxx review

"Day Shift" is a new vampire hunting movie starring Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco. The movie tells the story of a blue collar dad trying to provide a better life for his young daughter. However, his routine job in San Fernando Valley pool cleaning is a disguise for his true income, hunting down and killing vampires as part of an International Union of Viper Hunters.

The premise sounds exciting, but can J.J. Perry deliver on it?

The opening scene of the movie is a bonkers action sequence with Jamie Foxx shotgun blasting the hell out of an old lady who turns out to be a vampire. The two of them then have a wild fight that turns out to be a great time. The movie's use of ragdoll physics in its action scenes makes them pop in a way that many other action movies (or blockbusters) do not.

Day Shift may be the worst movie ever made. It is obvious what they wanted to do but they failed so badly. The acting is terrible, the dialogue is stilted, the plot is confusing. But somehow, I found myself enjoying it. It could be that I am a sucker of vampire movies, or it could just be that I love watching bad movies. Day Shift was great. It's not a great movie, but it's a lot of fun. This is all I expect from a movie like that.

Day Shift was a very mixed movie. The movie has a lot to offer, including some action scenes that are fun and some characters like the two brothers and Seth. But the villain is horrible and there are many mediocre characters. That helps the stronger characters shine more. There appeared to be scenes missing from the film. Bud's neighbor acts like she is a friend even though they only had about 3 minutes each before the final scene. Bud making prank calls at the gas station while he was working at his job is the best part. It was hilarious and it was so much fun to watch. Then, however, the movie went on and the movie was far less enjoyable. Day Shift, in the end, is a mixed bag. There are some great (here) parts and some terrible parts. This movie is great for those who want to have a good time and laugh.

Snoop Dogg was almost forgotten about. He's great in Day Shift. He makes the entire movie worth your time. His character is funny, and he can deliver some amazing lines. More than that, he is just so naturally in the role. He's natural at the role.
